Both on paper and film, James Bond’s appeal to the ladies is almost magical: his confidence with women is legendary, and he can get the woman with almost no effort at all. All he needs to do is utter some charmer’s lines, smile his trademark smile, and the next thing you know he’s lying naked in bed with a women who’s supposed to kill him.
As far fetched as it may seem, there really are men out there who can successfully pull off the James Bond appeal. Though we’ll never know if they pack the gadgets and the guts that the various Bond-men have, here are the two things that give these Bond-esque men their charm:
It’s An Animal Thing
Nature is unfair. Some men are just born with the physical features to make the ladies swoon: Perfect faces, sculpted bodies and a winning smile are just the tips of the icebergs that naturally-endowed men have to their advantage. Heck, some men are even gifted with the scent to turn women on!
However, all these factors are for naught if you don’t know how to use them. Even the hottest, most perfect man on the planet would have the appeal of a bug if he doesn’t know how to use his charms well enough. And besides, James Bond isn’t really supposed to be a knockout stud. He’s just a regular Joe who knows how to swoon the ladies. But he may have the advantage slightly higher pheromone levels than your average guy. Who really knows?
It’s a social thing
Again, it doesn’t matter how hot you are if you’ve got hair sprouting all over the place, you gobble like an animal, and you spit and cuss like no tomorrow. You don’t see any of the Bonds doing any of these things, now do you?
If you have confidence with women and know how to approach the ladies, talk to them and charm them, you have a greater edge than an unrefined boob who doesn’t know his left from his right when it comes to treating a woman right. If you know the art of communication, even a modest face and a less-than-perfect body build won’t be able to stop your ability to persuade the ladies to give you their number.
Animal vs. Social
If you’re lucky enough to be endowed with both good lucks and unstoppable charm, then you probably don’t even need advice when it comes to women. Heck, you may even be a candidate for the next batch of Bond films to pop up!
But if you really want to experience the Bond appeal, you’ve got to work on your social skills. Learning how to approach girls, building confidence with women and knowing how to stir up are the basics in interacting with the fairer sex. And if you’re skilled enough, you won’t need animal instincts to pull the ladies to you. Remember that a magnetic personality trumps good looks anytime.
